How I spend my free time
As the title says, in my free time I devour books and conquer virtual worlds, and sometimes I write about them as well. The first novel I published, Vetrarbreytin, got me a place in the finals of one of the most famous literary contests in Italy, but nowadays I mostly write as a hobby, losing myself in cyberpunk dystopian worlds and reimagining the Golden Age of Piracy with a series of Swashbuckling adventures.
One of my favourite books is Neuromancer by William Gibson, and its incipit holds a special place in my heart. I can only hope to write something similar one day, but in the meantime let me introduce you to the wonderful world of cyberpunk with Gibson's words:
The sky above the port was the colour of television, tuned to a dead channel.
Did you know that Gibson wanted to depict the sky as a mix of green and grey and not the black-and-white static most of us are used to? Well, you know now!
When I'm not reading or writing, I like to play videogames, mostly isometric RPGs.
My writing projects
I'm currently working on a trilogy set in the Golden Age of Piracy, and I've completed the first draft of the first and second books, but as many aspiring writers will tell you, that's only about 40% of the work done, and although I like to compare myself to Moravia, who said he never edited his books, I sadly know that my novels will need more than just one revision to be ready for publishing.
